Application Process

Letter of Intent

Mandatory Letter of Intent (LOI) is required to submit a full proposal.  The LOI will be completed and submitted through an online system.  To gain access to the portal, go to to request an account.

Information needed to submit the LOI includes: proposal title; contact and business information; technology sector; a brief description of technology, unmet need, and alignment with the technology sector (300 words maximum); Technology Readiness Level (TRL); description of TAP project goals (300 words maximum); status of Intellectual Property; estimated total budget request; GRAMA disclosure; and a W-9 form.

The completed LOI, GRAMA disclosure, and W-9 must be submitted through the portal by February 20, 2018, 5:00 p.m. MT. Failure to submit a letter of intent by the due date will disqualify your application.  LOIs received by February 13, 2018 may be corrected and resubmitted for further consideration if declined.

With approved LOIs, applications will be accepted through the portal starting February 26, 2018. By submitting an application, applicants agree to all terms and conditions for the program. Applicants should refer to the program announcement to ensure submission of a complete application. All submitted documents must be uploaded as PDF files with the exception of the budget, which may be uploaded in Excel.

Applications may be submitted no later than March 20, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. MT.
